Pferd POLINOX non-woven aluminum oxide finishing roll. Designed for fine finishing and manually cleaning raw metal surfaces. Nice for steel braze & weld prep, but ideal for putting brushed finishes on titanium, stainless, and aluminum frames (or components!). Super useful stuff.

Quit shoe-shining with that 6" x 9" metal finishing pad! This roll is 4-inches wide, and 30 feet long, way more useful in framebuilding applications. Cut it down to your preferred width and length as you go. Tip: to keep the roll from tearing when frantically shoe-shining, back the POLINOX roll with a length of regular shop roll.

Compared to 3M SCOTCHBRITE rolls, this Pferd POLINOX roll is the same grit/finish, 1" wider, and a bit stiffer/denser. Less flexible, but more durable. Being 4" wide allows for cutting into 2" strips, which is a nice width for finishing tubes. (This is more like a 2" wide roll, 60 feet long.) See photo.
